BOWLING GREEN, Ohio– The Ohio women's golf team wrapped up the first day of play at the 2018 Dolores Black Falcon Invitational hosted by Bowing Green at the Stone Ridge Golf Club. The Bobcats finished Saturday tied in fifth place after shooting a first round score of 311 to finish +23 on the day.
Toledo is currently in the team lead after shooting a first day score of 304 (+16).
Leading Ohio is junior Nicole Smiley (Dublin, Ohio) who finished the first round with a score of 75 to finish three-over for the day and tying her for fifth place.
Senior Lily Pendy (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.) currently sits tied for 52ndplace after shooting an 82 (+10). Sophomore Marissa Balish (Allison Park, Pa.) rounded out the scoring Bobcats by finishing Saturday with a score of 89 (+17), finishing the day tied for 87thplace.
Playing unattached for Ohio is junior Chloe McKinzie (Medina, Ohio) who finished Saturday with a first round score of 85 (+13), tying her in 68thplace after day one.
The Bobcats will conclude play at the 2018 Dolores Black Falcon Invitational on Sunday, April 8 in the second and final round, which will begin with an 11 a.m. shotgun start.
