  • Leckie’s Senior Day Goal Leads Ohio Soccer Over EMU, 1-0

    The Ohio soccer team (9-6-1, 4-3-1 MAC) took home a crucial victory on a beautiful senior day against Mid-American Conference foe Eastern Michigan (4-10-2, 3-5 MAC) on Sunday (Oct. 20), with the Bobcats defeating the Eagles, 1-0, thanks to a late second half goal by senior Sydney Leckie. With the victory, Ohio picked up its ninth win, matching last season's win total with three games left to play in the regular season.

    Led by three points from senior Alivia Milesky and a goal early in the second half from junior Sarina Dirrig, the Ohio soccer team (8-6-1, 3-3-1 MAC) picked up a pivotal 2-1 victory over Mid-American Conference foe Central Michigan (7-3-2, 4-3-0 MAC) – who entered the day tied for second in the MAC - Friday evening (Oct. 18) at Chessa Field. 
  • Ohio Soccers Wraps up Regular Season Home Schedule this Weekend

    Mid-American Conference continues for the Ohio soccer team (7-6-1, 2-3-1 MAC) this weekend when they face Central Michigan (7-2-2, 4-2-0 MAC) on Friday, Oct. 18. First touch is set for 4p.m. at Chessa Field. The Bobcats will continue their weekend at home when they host Eastern Michigan (3-9-2, 2-4-0 MAC) on Sunday, Oct. 20. The game between the Eagles and the Bobcats is set to begin at 1 p.m. This Sunday will also serve as Senior Day for Ohio’s five seniors; Alivia Milesky, Victoria Breeden, Sydney Leckie, Courtney Daugerdas and Alli Miller. Come early to see a special pregame ceremony honoring the 2019 senior class.

    The Ohio soccer team (7-5-1, 2-2-1 MAC) returned to action on Thursday night (Oct. 10), battling Akron (5-7-1, 2-2-1 MAC) to a 1-1 tie inside FirstEnergy Stadium - Cub Cadet Field.
  • Ohio Soccer Set for Tilts with MAC Foes Akron and Buffalo This Weekend

    The Ohio soccer team (7-5-0, 2-2-0 MAC) continues Mid-American Conference play this weekend starting on Thursday, Oct. 10 when they head to Akron, Ohio to take on the Zips (5-7-0, 2-2-0 MAC). First touch is set for 7 p.m. at FirstEnergy Stadium - Cub Cadet Field. Ohio will then return to Athens on Sunday, Oct. 13 for the first game of a three-game homestand when they host Buffalo (4-6-1, 1-3-0 MAC). The Bobcats and the Bulls are set to begin at 1 p.m. This year’s match between Ohio and Buffalo will serve as the Bobcats’ annual Pink Game.

  • Ohio Soccer Returns to Athens Against Toledo and Bowling Green this Weekend

    After four straight games on the road, the Ohio soccer team (6-4-0, 1-1 MAC) returns to Athens to continue Mid-American Conference play this weekend, taking on Toledo (3-7-0, 0-2 MAC) on Friday, Oct. 4 at 4 p.m., before wrapping up the weekend with defending MAC champion Bowling Green (4-4-2, 2-0-0 MAC) on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. Sunday's game is the annual Turn It Gold match, where Ohio supports the fight against childhood cancer.

    For the first time since 2011, the Ohio soccer team (6-3-0, 1-0-0 MAC) faced Northern Illinois (2-5-1, 0-1-0) on the road and left with a victory. Ohio opened Mid-American Conference play on Friday (Sept. 27), defeating the Huskies, 2-1, at the Indoor Sports Center at MercyHealth Sportscore in Rockford, Ill.

    The Ohio soccer team (5-0-0) continued their unbeaten streak on Sunday (Sept. 8), defeating Southern Illinois (3-3-1), 7-0, in an offensive explosion inside Chessa Field. Ohio’s seven goals are the second-most in program history and the most scored in Athens since Oct. 12, 2000 when Ohio scored seven against Northern Illinois.

  • Milesky’s Last Second Golden Goal Leads Ohio Soccer Past Cleveland State in Double OT

    Thanks to a goal from senior Alivia Milesky with 38 seconds remaining in the second overtime period, the Ohio soccer team (3-0-0) defeated Cleveland State (1-1-1), 2-1, Friday evening at Chessa Field. The victory moved the Bobcats to 3-0 on the season.

    The Ohio soccer team (1-0) went to overtime and took down Eastern Kentucky (0-1), 2-1, on Thursday afternoon at Chessa Field. Sophomore forward Abby Townsend (Powell, Ohio) scored the match winner in the 95thminute.

    The Ohio soccer team opens the 2019 regular season with two games this weekend. The Bobcats open the season at home on Thursday, Aug. 22 against Eastern Kentucky. First touch is set for 4 p.m. at Chessa Field. Ohio will continue play on Sunday, Aug. 25 when the Bobcats head to Highland Heights, Ky. to take on Northern Kentucky. First touch is set for 7 p.m. at the NKU Soccer Stadium.

    The Ohio soccer team saw the pitch for the first time in 2019, defeating Youngstown State, 6-1, Friday evening (Aug. 16) in an exhibition match at Farmers National Bank Field in Youngstown, Ohio. The Bobcats were led by freshman Maddie Young who scored three goals for Ohio. 
  • Ohio Soccer takes on Youngstown State in Exhibition on Friday

    The Ohio soccer team will participate in its annual exhibition game on Friday, Aug. 16 when the Bobcats head to Youngstown, Ohio to take on Youngstown State.
