CLEVELAND -- The Ohio track & field team placed 14 student-athletes on the 2019 Outdoor Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team, as announced by the league office today.

A total of 168 student-athletes across MAC outdoor track & field were named to the team from this past season.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.

The following Bobcats were named to the 2019 Academic All-MAC Team: senior Alyssa Atkinson (Granville, Ohio; Electrical Engineering w/ Computer Engineering Track), sophomore Olivia Brewer (Mount Gilead, Ohio; Undecided-Health & Sciences Professions), senior Emily Deering (Geneva, Ohio; Business Pre-Law/Accounting), sophomore Meredith Elstun (Fairfield, Ohio; Early Childhood Education), redshirt senior Courtney Guiley (Louisville, Ohio; Coaching Education), redshirt junior Tajah Haley (Washington, Pa.; Early Childhood Education), redshirt freshman Jessica Hartman (Lebanon, Ohio; Social Work), senior Gaza Odunaiya (Athens, Ohio; Marketing/Sport Management), redshirt freshman Emma Russ (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; Bios Pre Professional), redshirt sophomore Carly Shell (Covington, Ohio; Athletic Training), redshirt junior Erin Stewart (Chardon, Ohio; Exercise Physiology) redshirt freshman Abigail Summers (Powell, Ohio; Infographics/Publication Design), redshirt junior Madison Sury (Waterford, Ohio; Journalism Strategic Communications), and senior Josie Woosley (Pataskala, Ohio; Long Term Health Care Administration).
