Biography

2013: INDOOR SEASON: Competed in eight events this season... Posted a season-best mark of 9.04 in the 60H at the Mid-American Conference Championships... Won the 55m hurdles preliminary round in a season-best time of 8.53 and finished second in the 55m hurdles final round at the Marietta First Glimpse Meet... Placed sixth in the 200m, first in the triple jump and fourth in the 60m hurdles at the Tom Wright Classic... Ran a season-best 27.15 in the 200m, placed fifth in the 60m hurdles and 11th in the triple jump at the Youngstown St. National Invite... Notched a 10th place finish with her 4x400m relay team at Hoosier Hills... Posted a season-best 10.38m to place eighth in the triple jump at the Ohio State Tune-Up. OUTDOOR SEASON: Did not compete.

Prior to Ohio: Danced and ran track and field for four years at Raegan High School in San Antonio, Texas and at Avon Lake High School in Avon Lake, Ohio. Qualified for state and was the MVP sprinter from 2009-12 under coach Jeff Arra… Holds the school record for the 100- and 300-meter hurdles… Was named the track team captain during the 2011-12 season.



Personal: Daughter of Scott and Vicki Winkel… Has one brother, David, and one sister, Sarah, and both attend Ohio State University… Lists favorite team as the Cleveland Indians and her favorite athlete as Lolo Jones… Hobbies include working out, camping and hiking… Majored in Fashion and Design in undergrad and is currently in the Coaching Education masters program.
