2017-18: Made her freshman debut at the Kentucky Bluegrass Invitational clocking in a 5K time of 17:58.1… Recorded a season-best 6K time at the All-Ohio Championships clocking in at 22:05.1… Competed at the MAC Championships and posted a time of 22:39.6… Ended the season at the NCAA Division I Great Lakes Region Cross Country Championships where she recorded a time of 23:48.8.

Prior to Ohio: Earned four varsity letters in cross country and track & field under coaches Danielle Freeman and Annette White at John Hersey High School… Named cross country captain in the 2015 and 2016 seasons and track captain in the 2016 and 2017 seasons… Set the school cross country record at 17:22 (2016), earned cross country MVP in 2015 and 2016 and track MVP in 2016… Helped her cross country team to becoming the MSL East Champions, placing third in the conference, winning regionals, placing second at sectionals, and placing 10th at the state tournament in 2016.

Personal: Daughter of Jeffery and Melinda Bowes… Has one sister, Justine… Made the National Honors Society and the honor roll in high school… Lists the Chicago Blackhawks as her favorite team and Simone Biles as her favorite athlete… Enjoys volunteering at the zoo, running and drawing… Plans to major in Marine and Fresh Biology to become a Marine Biologist at a research center.
